God’s Path to University:
High School Graduate, Paul Hiubi
The third born from a family of six, Paul Hiubi began his education journey through the Tithandize Faith Works community school in 2001.
Because his parents could not afford to meet the financial requirements of a government school, having the opportunity to attend the Tithandize community school was an earnest answer to prayer.
Faith Works Primary Schools offer a Christian based education by facilitating partnerships with local church congregations. In addition to receiving a quality primary education, students are also supported with food programs and other supplies.
Dedicated teachers deliver primary education to children in grades 1-7, with one common goal: to provide hope to the vulnerable children of Zambia through the gift of education.
As Paul passed his 7th and 8th grade exams with flying colors, the next step of his education journey was further encouraged through entry into the Helen DeVos Christian School.
Even though his family had financial hardships, our supporters made sure his high school education was fully sponsored every year. In 2009, Paul wrote his grade nine exam and progressed to grade ten with very good results. As he continued to further his love of learning and master each course he took, it was no surprise to his teachers when he passed his grade twelve exams with excellence.
Paul expressed his appreciation to both the Helen DeVos Christian School and to Alliance for Children Everywhere for their support of orphans and vulnerable children, and for the opportunities a quality education can make in the future of Zambian families.
“I am incredibly grateful for the Head Teacher and Teachers who stood by me with words of encouragement and motivation throughout my stay at Helen DeVos School.”
And Paul’s amazing journey continues. Thanks to his ongoing positive academic results, this rising star was offered a full 100% scholarship to complete his studies at the second highest university in Zambia, The Copperbelt University.
