ACE schools are much more than just classrooms and course books. ACE’s seven Faithworks Primary schools & Kanyama Community High School play a pivotal role in their surrounding neighborhoods. Take a look below at all of the ways in which these schools enrich the community!

More than Schools

This month our goal is to raise $60,000 for our schools. Every gift up to $30,000 will be matched until September 30th!

ACE Schools provide free daily meals to enrolled students. That means that kids who may otherwise go hungry are guaranteed to receive a nutritious meal each day. Receiving a reliable meal improves health, focus and performance in our students’ studies and exams.

Daily Meals

ACE Schools act as community centers, providing a space for students as well as their parents and families to find support and have discussions about local issues. The seven FaithWorks school buildings are also used as churches, and are sometimes used as resource distribution hubs, further helping to support and empower local families.

Community & Resources

Role Models

ACE school teachers act as mentors to the children that need guidance most. Many children look to their teachers to navigate life challenges and help them reach their goals. Oftentimes, teachers and students maintain a lifelong bond even after graduation. Teachers like Francis N'guni, who grew up attending ACE Schools and now teaches at one himself, offer inspiration and hope to a whole new generation of students.

$850 CAN CHANGE A LIFE

Graduating from Kanyama Community School in Lusaka is something to be proud of. This high school is in the heart of one of Lusaka’s poorest neighborhoods, yet it boasts a 100% pass rate on exams which is double the national average. The hard work and dedication of teachers and students at this school creates ripple effects in the community that span far beyond graduation.

Just $850 can cover all expenses and supplies for a student for a year. Help us ensure these high school students’ education and future.

When a new science and testing lab was opened and dedicated in his honor in 2021, former KCS Headmaster & Education Coordinator Robby Kangwa was thrilled. It marked an important step closer to the school being able to provide all aspects of a well-rounded education locally in Kanyama. Mr. Kangwa, who was instrumental in the development and growth of ACE’s schools since their inception in the early 2000’s and retired earlier this year, left the school with a big vision for the future. Mr. Kangwa, along with the other passionate staff members of ACE’s schools, dreams of seeing every student that graduates from KCS leave with either a vocational training certificate or scholarship to a university in hand.

After many years of sewing machines fighting for space in the computer lab, a plan for a vocational training facility and program was hatched. The shell of the future training center already sits on the grounds of KCS waiting to become a reality. More work and funding are needed to complete this project, but your donation can help bring us one step closer to its completion.
